Kasauli
KASAULI is a small hill station located 1927 meters above sea level, and oozes an endearing air of old-world charm. It was developed as a cantonment after the British had based themselves at Shimla. Its main attraction lies in its overall cleanliness and its easy accessibility from Chandigarh, only about 70 kms.
The narrow winding roads meander their way up & down the hillside and offer some magnificent views. The Upper & the Lower Malls are the two principal roads that run along the length of Kasauli, a thick cover of pine, oak, horse-chestnut trees embracing the entire area. Traffic is restricted on these roads, which is the reason why, Kasauli is one of the quietest hill stations in India. Close to Kasauli at Sanawar, the most famous & the oldest Public School, i.e. Lawrence Public School is situated.
