The Fort Ramgarh:-
Set 15 km from Chandigarh, this ornate heritage hotel in a whitewashed fort lies 17 km from Chandigarh International Airport and 19 km from Sukhna Lake. Located at the foothills of the Shivaliks, Ramgarh was ruled by Chandel Rajputs, whose ancestry goes back to Ramayana and Mahabharata days. The grand exteriors, lattice work and mirror mosaics in the interiors and gratifying hospitality offers a lifetime experience for the guests.
The present main gate is 37 ft high, the tallest in the entire country, according to the Limca Book of Records. As you walk inside the tallest Door in India, ambling past ancient sundials, bending to look inside a massive well or an unused tunnel it would strike you that perhaps someone has gently picked the back of your collar and dropped you into the upturned pages of a history book which has magically come to life.
